Our RF over Fiber converters (RFoF) are suitable for any application where cable length and RF bandwidth have limited performance.

For your convenience, please find below an overview of the low frequency coverage of our RFoF products

Analog RF over Fiber modules convert RF signals to optical signals and back. One unit has an optical transmitter which converts the signal from RF to Optical, and a second receiver unit converts the signal from Optical to RF.

The optical transmitter is connected to the optical receiver by a single mode optical fiber provided by the customer.

RFOptic offers low frequency (up to 6GHz) direct modulation RFoF solutions covering bandwidths from 0.5MHz up to 6GHz. These low frequency RFoF modules are programmable over USB monitoring & control interface. They include 2.5GHz 2.5GHz (GPS), 3GHz, 4GHz, and 6GHz. Enclosures containing sets of modules can be monitired and controlled remotely via HTML/SNMP/REST protocols.

Other options include:

  • Bidirectional (2-way) RF over Fiber links with a single interconnecting fiber
  • 8 channel CWDW RFoF links over a single fiber
  • Multi-channel solutions – Please refer to 5G solutions and subsystems

All our low frequency programmable RFoF modules feature excellent flatness, >40dB gain links, and NF around 5db with LNA On.

Applications include remote antenna 5G cellular communications, GPS, 5G, broadcast, satcom, and EMC chambers
